So today I’m going to share with you a very special essential oil from Young Living. My little helper that keeps me from seeing “human pinatas” everywhere and wanting to knock the snot out of them! JUST KIDDING!
But seriously… If you live on the planet Earth, you too have days when you feel especially overwhelmed and drained. Our adrenals are maxed out, leaving us feeling like crap!
With Idaho Balsam Fir I find great adrenal support when I feel that my cortisol levels are elevated. Cortisol is the “fight or flight” hormone that our adrenal glands produce. For many their cortisol production is stuck in the “on mode” due to hectic lifestyles, careers, family stressors, busy schedules, etc. It’s no wonder we feel worn out! IBF to the rescue!
How do I use it? I apply it to my pulse points – my wrists and carotids (along the sides of my neck), and brain stem (back of upper neck, at hair line)… but I don’t stop there. To enjoy the full benefits of this amazing oil, don’t forget to BREATHE it in!! The warm aroma is so soothing and rejuvenating to the body and mind. Its grounding, yet stimulating. Within minutes I’m feeling like myself again… and I can put down the bat and not hurt anyone!
Also… it’s an excellent support for the respiratory system, urinary system, immune system, and promotes healthy join and cartilage health. WOW!
I do recommend diluting essential oils before applying them topically, especially if you know you have sensitive skin or are applying on children. Diluting with a carrier oil (coconut oil, grape seed oil, sunflower oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, just to name a few) also makes your oils last longer and spread easier over your skin.
Did you know? The best time to harvest IBF is in the winter months. Gary Young harvests it in Idaho (obvious, I know), a few miles south of the Canadian border. He has found that the fir needles contain the highest amount of essential oil during this time of year.
If you are not a member of Young Living and would like to be, the best way to start is with the purchase of the Premium Starter Kit. (The best bang for your buck!… you get your own wholesale account which gives you a 24% discount of all future orders!) Idaho Balsam Fir is not in the kit. I do recommend ordering it as one of your first purchases after you receive your starter kit.
P.S. For the remainder of April, anyone enrolling with me by the purchase of the Premium Starter Kit, will receive a stainless steel diffuser necklace as pictured here. Design may vary. My gift to you! You will love to wear your favorite Young Living Essential Oil in your diffuser pendant! I do!
So this was me for the past 3 days. Blowing my nose nonstop. Banned to the couch to sleep elevated. Desperate for sleep. Desperate to stop the constant running faucet on my face, that was a nice shade of pink, painful to the touch, and now covered with dry peeling skin. You know what I’m talking about. Oh it’s so miserable!
I was desperate to avoid using synthetic remedies. I don’t do that any more!! I threw them all out. I hate the side effects and possible harm to my body! Some of them gave me night terrors and left me feeling “high” for days! No joke! Personally, I don’t know why anyone would pay good money to feel that way, but that’s none of my business! 😉
I did everything I could think of. I do use Young Living Essential Oils, and normally they help me return to normal rather quickly. But this time was different!
So… two Kleenex boxes and a roll of toilet paper later… it hits me… NASAL SPRAY! Normally I’m not one to use it because it always burned my sinus cavities terribly. I searched for a recipe to make my own! This is what I came up with.
I found an old saline nasal spray bottle (2 oz) of my husband’s, washed out of course. (You can get a nice nasal misting bottle at your local health food store or on Amazon.) I first added a pinch of Himalayan salt. Why? Well, the salt will help oils absorb better in the water solution and not sit on top of the water. You will still need to shake before each use though. Also, he salt to this solution will moisturize the mucosa and supports its natural regeneration, making it more difficult for the bacteria and viruses to nest and develop into an infection. Why Himalayan salt? Because it’s REAL salt with the minerals our body needs. I do not recommend the useless white table salt for this recipe. (You may wish to research the benefits of Himalayan salt vs the pretty white table salt.)
I then added 6 drops Lavender, 4 drops Frankincense, and 3 drops Tea Tree oil – all of which help to support a healthy nasal and respiratory system, and can help with seasonal relief as well. Think spring! Next I topped it off with distilled water. You want water free of any impurities, especially since you are spraying it into your head!
Recipe below.
Let me just say this……… WOW! Oh. My. Word. My nose was doing the happy dance! Why did I not do this sooner!!?? I must be a glutton for punishment and suffering!! With the first use I immediately felt 50% better. BONUS: It did not burn! It was comforting and soothing. I sprayed again just before bed. I actually slept… with my mouth shut… and no need to stuff my nose with tissue to stop the “running faucet”! TMI, I know.
I learned the hard way. Don’t do that! Make this up and get ahead of it! From now on I’ll just spray once a day, every morning, as part of my morning routine. Think preventative maintenance. It’s smart, says the gal that went through all that!! <kicking myself still>
LIGHT BULB!! This just popped in my head! If anyone reading this blog post purchases the Premium Starter Kit through my link from now, 3/31/16 to 4/15/16, I will send you a bottle of Tea Tree Oil FREE! That’s a $34.21 retail value! You might want to jump on that before I rethink it! J/K! Killer deal, seriously! I just really want you to try this recipe! 😉

Well what about her? Let me tell you, this is an essential oil that has grown very dear to me. I didn’t care for it at first, but now I love it. In fact, there were many oils I did not care for at first which I now adore. I truly believe our sense of smell and reaction morph over time. For me, I was accustomed to artificial fragrances… but now I can’t tolerate them! I think I have talked about this before.
If your first reaction was not good to Rosemary, I highly encourage you to try again. Put some on your big toe for mental clarity and alertness! I like to diffuse it! Add any of the citrus oils with it. WOW! I also like to put a drop in my palm, rub, and inhale! I also put a drop to the crown (top of my head) each morning. Rosemary is part of my morning “oiling” routine. I’d love to hear about your morning routine with oils!
Wonderful for mental fatigue. Keeps the mind alert and focused. Strong aromatic scent of herbs and wood. It may also support healthy liver function, among many other benefits!
I encourage you take the time to research Rosemary… and all Young Living Essential Oils. It’s eye opening! Get your hands on a GOOD essential oil reference book! For me, I prefer the “Essential Oils Pocket Reference” by Life Science Publishers, but I do have several reference books on hand. I like to cross reference.
An interesting tidbit – historically, wayyy back in the day, the rosemary plant was regarded as sacred to many civilizations. It was used as a fumigant to help drive away evil spirits, and to protect against the plague and infectious illness.
I encourage you to try a new Young Living Essential Oil. Maybe it will be Rosemary this time? I try to order a new one each month. I want them ALL eventually!!
Not using Young Living Essential Oils? Oh pity! Contact me for more info! I highly recommend the Premium Starter Kit to get eleven of the most reached for oils (and much more) into your life! Visit this page to learn more and get started!
I cringe at the thought of using those “other” hand sanitizers for YEARS and YEARS!! I thought I was doing good. Our skin is the largest organ we have. When we apply anything to our skin it is instantly absorbed into our body and blood stream.
Since my husband’s liver transplant 5 yrs ago (yesterday!.. and he’s doing miraculously well… I’ll be blogging about that later this week.) we started our quest for more knowledge, healthier living, better choices, etc. Wow, the discoveries we have made!! I would keep you here until next week if I elaborated here tonight, but I’ll try to stay on task.
I’ve already blogged on how to make your own hand sanitizer spray, but tonight I whipped up a gel version! (Yes, Young Living offers both a spray and gel Thieves Sanitizer, but I’m a frugal gal and love to make these essential oil recipes!)
In this pic you’ll see this neat gel pump. I kept it around for the bottle and discarded the product inside. Well it sat on my kitchen counter for a couple months now… and tonight I finally made it! The hand spray is nice, but I do love and miss the gel!
Now, if you want to promote Young Living, by all means, use the hand spray!! Nearly every time we are in a restaurant people smell it and ask, “Oh, what’s that?”… or… “Did you spray Thieves?”
My recipe for DIY Gel Hand Sanitizer:
3 tsp witch hazel
10 drops Young Living’s Thieves EO blend
4 drops Cinnamon Bark EO (optional! I add because I like it to be extra cinnamon-y in fragrance like YL’s)
Fill the rest of bottle with Aloe Vera gel, leaving room for the pump and a little space to shake to mix. Now shake it up!
I tested it.. a little goes a LONG way!! Like 1/2 a pump for this particular bottle. I believe you can get these empty foaming pump bottles from your local health food store or on Amazon. Or you can save your bottles from those “other” products you now have! Empty them and make your own!! And guess what?… THEY ARE FAR MORE EFFECTIVE AND SAFER!!

I would be blessed to be the one to help you get started!
So I went to a local Young Living class last night in a town not too far from me. They held the class at a restaurant. I decided to just get a salad from the salad bar… keep it light was my plan.
I chose spinach as the base and topped it with a few add ons… egg, onion, chickpeas, carrots, sunflower seeds, and a few croutons. Just a few! I drizzled about a large tablespoon of Ranch Dressing on it. I love Ranch! (I know… not the most healthy choice, … but it was better than pizza or a burger and fries, right?).
Half way into this small salad I started to get some major discomfort in my belly, and by the last bite I was flat out miserable! I love salad… but it sure didn’t love me back last night! I don’t get this response upon eating salad every time, but occasionally. Was it the spinach? Any way… I was feeling so… so… gassy!! Ok, I’m sorry… but don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about! LOL! My belly instantly felt full and extended… and if it weren’t for my Spanx you would have thought I was 6 months pregnant! Oy!
Well let me tell you what I turn to for digestive system balance wellness, and comfort… Young Living’s fabulous Essential Oil blend, Digize.
Per Young Living’s website, “DiGize™ is one of Young Living’s exclusive and proprietary dietary supplements. This unique blend contains Ginger, Anise, Fennel, Peppermint, Tarragon, Lemongrass, Patchouli, and Juniper essential oils, and includes naturally occurring constituents like menthol, citrol, and zingiberen. Use DiGize with every meal, along with Essentialzymes-4™ (a supplement YL offers, equally amazing. We should all be taking a digestive enzyme by the way), to support a daily wellness regimen*.”
†100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oil (I ONLY use YL EO’s! I did three months research before deciding on YL as my source of EO’s. Do your own research. Don’t settle for junk oils with chemicals and fillers! This is why YL is the only source for me: http://www.seedtoseal.com)
Click for details.
You should consider trying Digize. I recommend keeping it on hand when you are out and about. I especially love that Young Living now makes it available in the Premium Starter Kit, along with 10 other most commonly reached for oils, and more!

Seasons of life, they are real. We are all in a particular season. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter. Other seasons: childhood, teen, student, adult, newly wed, married for many years, parent, empty-nester, grandparent, great grandparent, loss of a loved one, and so on. The list is endless.
What season am I in, you ask? Several I believe. I’m a parent to two young adults. One is out of the house and has three children. Yep, I’m a grandma if you don’t already know that! My second child will leave the next soon, probably next year as I do see wedding bells in the near future. No, it’s not official, but I see it coming… and that will make for a very joyous season indeed!
I do have a private burden that is often overwhelming at times. I like to view this time of burden as a season, because I know all seasons come to an end… and by viewing it as a season, I am encouraged that someday “this too shall pass”.
Some of you know my burden… most of you don’t, and that’s ok… the LORD knows all about it and I turn it over to Him daily. I daily hand it back to Him, because I’ll be honest… often I take my burden back and worry some more. I ought not to do that, I know. Lord, forgive me. I know He knows this mother’s heart, after all, He created me. He knows my instinct to nurture, love and want to fix things. This one I can’t fix and it hurts.
I was just now reminded of the words to an old hymn:
“Leave it there, leave it there, Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there; If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out— Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.”
(Yes, I get distracted easily… lol… squirrel!)
What does this have to do with oils? Well, I believe God put Young Living Essential Oils in my life for several reasons… one being my emotional well being. I believe that with all my heart.
Can essential oils help you emotionally? YES!!! Along with eating good, organic, pure foods… food the way He intended, God created a natural substance to help man in this area (essential oils!). And yet we so often choose synthetics first. That was me too, until a few years ago.
I highly encourage you to get your hands on a GOOD essential oil reference book. Contact me if you would like to know what’s in my library. I can give you the names of several!
What oil am I talking about today, you ask? The first oil that I’d like to share with you, that helps me emotionally, is Young Living’s Idaho Balsam Fir.
Per YL’s website, they say this oil is “Traditionally used for muscular aches and pains, the warm aroma of balsam fir soothes and rejuvenates body and mind. Known for supporting respiratory function,* this herbaceous oil can be diffused for aromatherapy or diluted with a carrier oil for topical application. Also believed to create an uplifting sense of well-being, balsam fir is a 100 percent pure Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ essential oil distilled from the needles of the balsam fir tree.”
Breathing in it’s fragrance can have a definite aromatic effect on the mind. It is physically grounding and relaxing. Its sweet and clean scent has balsamic and woody overtones. IT SMELLS SO GOOD!!
Balsam fir oil is able to ground the body and empower the mind. It may help bring emotional balance to the mind and body by aligning the sacral and heart chakras. It is good for those who get out of balance emotionally very easily. Um, that would be me as of late.
Another of Young Living’s products that REALLY helps me with emotional well being and balance is their essential oil blend called JOY! Per YL’s website, Joy “is a delightful blend of Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Lemon, Coriander, Tangerine, Jasmine, Roman Chamomile, Palmarosa, and Rose essential oils that harmonize for a sweet, joyful aroma. When diffused, Joy creates a warm, comforting environment and inspires a romantic aromatic atmosphere. Wear Joy as a cologne or perfume to exude an alluring and irresistible fragrance that inspires romance and togetherness.”
Ok, skip all the romantic talk for the moment. Sure my husband loves it, that much I’ll share with you. <wink, wink> For me, Joy essential oil blend speaks LOUDLY to my emotional side. It’s so calming! I apply it to my neck, wrists, and over the heart. Oh no, she’s going to break out in another song…. yep. “I’ve got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy down in my heart”! I get the corniness from my mother (RIP) and I often hear her speak when I do! LOL! Did I oil up today? Yep, can you tell?
Sadly many doubt the powerful effects of PURE therapeutic grade essential oils. (I ONLY use Young Living! They are the ONLY company that can guarantee purity from seed to seal, and that’s not just a catchy phrase. Young Living’s Seed to Seal Commitment)
It’s puzzling to me when I talk to a someone about essential oils and they look at me like I’m crazy or call it snake oil. Well, you are welcome to your opinion, and that’s fine. I choose to put my trust in something created by God Himself, for my good vs anything man can come up with. Sure modern medicine has it’s place. I believe that to be true, I just don’t feel it should be the first thing we run to. Just sayin’… and if that doubter is you, maybe one day you’ll just give them a try. But don’t do it to make me happy. Do your own research and do it for yourself.
Back to what I was talking about initially — seasons of life. I’ve been through so many seasons in my 47 years, and I have many yet to go through. Of course, staying close to my Lord and staying in His Word is the #1 Resource to anything I face in life. I will say that I’m extremely thankful how He blesses, leads, reveals, and teaches me how to care for this body, which is His creation. To God be the Glory… as I continue to oil up with Young Living’s Idaho Balsam Fir and Joy!
A verse that blessed me today. He is with me in ALL seasons of my life! Acts 20:18 …”I have been with you at all seasons”…
If trying Young Living’s Essential Oils sounds good to you, simply go to this page to GET STARTED!
Ok, ok… How can anyone have just one favorite essential oil? For me, that’s impossible. I have been aware of this blend from nearly day one, (I’ve been using Young Living EO’s for 15 months now) but it has now gotten my full attention and I’m not really sure why.
I have been told by several people that over time, your body will tell you which oil to grab for. Crazy sounding, I know, but it’s true. Listen to your body! Lately, my body has been telling me to reach this one… R.C. !
What is in R.C. essential oil? There are nine different essential oils in Young Living’s R.C. Blend. They are listed below along with a brief description of each oil.
Eucalyptus Globulus – one of many eucalyptus essential oils. It is primarily used to support the respiratory system; and to soothe muscle discomfort after exercise.
Eucalyptus Radiata – one of many eucalyptus essential oils. It is primarily used to for cleansing and purifying.
Eucalyptus Citriodora – contains 40-80% citronellal and has several chemotypes.
Myrtle – supportive of the respiratory system, skin, and hair, it has been researched for its effects on glandular imbalances. It is also helpful for meditation and lifting the spirit.
Pine – first investigated by Hippocrates, the father of Western medicine, pine is soothing for stressed muscles and joints when used in massage. Eucalyptus globulus shares some of the same properties, and the action of both oils is synergistic when they are blended.
Marjoram – beneficial for occasional simple nervous tension.
Lavender – can help you relax, wind down before bed and even ease stress. Its balancing properties create a relaxing and harmonizing environment.
Cypress – beneficial for oily or troubled skin. Grounding and gets things moving!
Peppermint – one of the most highly regarded herbs for supporting normal digestion, including promoting healthy intestinal function and gastrointestinal system comforts.
Tsuga – from the Canadian Hemlock Tree. The oil is distilled from the needles and twigs of conifer trees.
What a powerhouse blend … And it smell soooo good!
Rub R.C. on your feet or chest before exercise to uplift and inspire, or massage three drops on your feet before bedtime to encourage an atmosphere of comfort. R.C. can also be used in place of Aroma Siez™ in Young Living’s Raindrop Technique®.
I especially love to apply it on each side of my nose in the morning to really wake me up and harmonize my respiratory system! Try it! It’s one of 11 essential oils in the Premium Starter Kit.
I wish you were here in person to experience R.C. for yourself. I’d gladly share it with you! I think you would agree how energizing this blend is.
I never go down this aisle any more. No need to. This pic makes me sad.
Countless pills being popped every day. That was me. That was my family. Thankfully I wasn’t one to take them every day, but I personally know many that do, for countless reasons. Now I’m not bashing all that man has created. There is a place for it for sure. Modern medicine has saved countless lives. In no way am I telling you to quit taking your meds!! You will never hear me advise that.
Wise words.
The point I’m trying to get to is this… why do we look to synthetics first? Have we as a society gotten so lazy that we just want someone to “fix” us? Sad to say, but the answer is resounding YES! We are so busy that we don’t want to address the WHY… the root cause of an issue. Most want to put a bandaid on it and go about their business. The trouble with bandaids… they don’t stick for very long and they are not a cure.
It is proven that every man-made drug causes side effects, some extremely dangerous… even deadly. If it doesn’t kill us right away, we end up with another side effect for which we need another prescription… and then we have to deal with more side effects. A vicious cycle. Why are we ok with that?
I know this is a sensitive topic that is bound to step on a few toes. I’ve never been one to candy-coat anything. Sorry.
The answer to my question: Because we are lazy and/or we as a society want to keep our head in the sand. WE DON’T WANT TO KNOW!! (This applies to many topics… world events, politics, life choices, spirituality … the list is endless… but I won’t go there today.)
Life is easier not knowing… not having to face reality and truth. If we listen we are forced to do something with the information we have received. We can accept it and apply it… and actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT… or we reject it and go back to our norm.
Sure the serious side effects say that are less common or “infrequent”… but what if you are one that takes them every day, or even every other day? What about the damage to your liver alone?
I found this on the FDA’s website. I did not know they decreased the maximum amount of acetaminophen in these products to 325 mg per tablet. Last I knew it was 500 mg. (See I told you I was never one to take OTC’s) Per their website, they answer the question as to why they are lowering it… they say, the “FDA continues to receive reports of severe liver injury associated with the use of acetaminophen-containing products. The greatest risk for severe liver injury happens when people take more than the prescribed dose of acetaminophen, take more than one acetaminophen-containing product at the same time, or drink alcohol while taking acetaminophen. Severe liver injury can lead to liver failure, liver transplant, and death.”
Their website is actually a great resource to find the side effects of any particular med, however I still recommend further research to gather ALL THE FACTS.
My husband had a liver transplant in 2010 as a result of Wilson’s Disease, which had taken it’s toll on his liver and it could no longer regenerate. (He has had a MIRACULOUS recovery, from the hand of God. The doctors were simply His instruments. Perhaps I’ll blog about that soon as I do love to tell the story!) Any way, the doctors at U of M told us in our pre-op classes that the #1 reason for liver transplants was liver failure caused by these meds!!
And, I don’t give a rat’s hiney about recommended doses. Slight damage vs severe damage… I want NO damage done to my liver, thank you very much!
What if the person taking the “recommended dose” is on another meds? What if that person drinks alcohol? What if they do not drink enough water? Most do not drink enough water to flush the system…. causing all organs to not get proper hydration. (I’m always telling everyone to DRINK WATER! I know I drive people nuts… oh well!)
Also, per their website, they say, “even a small amount more than directed can cause liver damage.”
They also say,“You may not notice the signs and symptoms of liver damage right away because they take time to appear. Or, you may mistake early symptoms of liver damage (for example, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting) for something else, like the flu. Liver damage can develop into liver failure or death over several days.”
Well not this gal!! Since my husband’s surgery in 2010, we have been on quite the journey towards better health! Boy have we come along way! Would I like to “unknow” what I know? Sometimes, yes! My studies and research have uncovered all kinds of things that are frightening… such as GMO’s, the food industry, how meat is raised, chemicals in everything, and so much more! But as I stated, now that I KNOW what I know …. I am forced to do something with this knowledge… which quite frankly, I believe it was God that showed me.
I am absolutely SOLD OUT on the fact that our health is a GIFT FROM GOD! I have been convicted that I need to take care of my body… the temple in which the Holy Spirit resides. Do I eat a perfect diet and exercise all the time? Um, no. I am not and refuse to become obsessed with this type of lifestyle … that would steal my joy as it’s almost impossible to avoid every exposure to toxins. We live in a contaminated world. Period. I treat myself, in moderation.
I think of this verse often when I think of my body being the temple where the Holy Spirit resides.“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Yes, I take that verse for what it plainly says and it is my conviction that I do not have the right to do with my body anything I please.
And while I’m on the topic of being Spiritually led to take care of our bodies, let’s talk about gluttony. Watch your toes. I warned you. Sorry, but we can’t have a discussion about better health without looking to the SOURCE!!
The definition of gluttony: The sheer defiance of reasonable and balanced behavior; habitual greed or excess in eating or drinking.
Gluttony can apply to many different areas, but today I’m just applying it to how it can have a negative effect on our health.
In my bible it says this about the glutton:
Prov 23:21 “For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.”
Deut 22:20 “… This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.”
Drowsiness, stubborn, rebellious… well that certainly doesn’t sound positive does it? Here’s an online article I found on this topic, which I wholeheartedly agree with: Gluttony: Sin of Lust and Greed.
Benjamin Franklin said of man’s proneness to overeat, “In general, mankind, since the improvement of cookery, eats twice as much as nature requires.”
I should have said this earlier in this post. I better say it now. I know that having a weight issue is often a side effect of certain health issues and or could be an inherited concern. I get that and do not condemn it. If I come across mean-spirited or judgmental, I apologize. That is not my intent.
What I am hoping to convey is this: We can all do better! We should all WANT to do better. We can all do something! Doing something is better than doing nothing. We can all make better choices! No one is force feeding us.
Self inflicted obesity, pain and misery is… well… that’s just plain sad! I don’t want any one to have to live like that. All I can do is pray and try to help. That is the reason for my blog. It’s not to simply talked about essential oils. Sure the oils can help, but you have to address other areas in order to get the most benefit.
We live in the age of information. It’s at our fingertips! If you are reading this, you have no reason to say you didn’t know better. Back in the day, before computers, yes there were books on these topics, but still … most of us didn’t know. We took the “professionals” word as gold. We did as we were told, blindly trusting. Well that day is gone!
I was that person. I was blind. I did as I was told, not questioning anything. I looked to synthetics first. We ate fast food often. We drank pop by the case per week. I bought frozen, mass produced, prepared and packaged food from the local bulk warehouse and really believed I was doing a good thing. After all, it tasted good and saved me time. I’m so thankful my blinders have been RIPPED OFF!
And if you come back with this comment … “Well, you gotta die of something!”… I will delete it and block you! Now I’m being harsh, I know. But seriously… don’t say that!! I have heard that way too many times and it goes right through me! Yes, we will all die!! A fact, no doubt. However, Lord willing, we can die in good health, of natural causes. We don’t have to give in to the “norm” and do what everyone else is doing. I know my days are numbered, but if I can help it, I don’t want to die in agony I brought on myself.
Stop eating it!
What if there was something that you could do to feel better than didn’t involve crap food and synthetic meds? Would you try it? Are you willing to make changes? I hope so.
Since my family has focused on diet, food quality, exercise (we still are not consistent in this area because of busy schedules.. an excuse, yep. I’m guilty and own it.) … and we have been using Young Living Essential Oils and other products for over a year now, we have been amazingly healthy!!!
Let me say this… I will ONLY use essential oils from Young Living. They are of the utmost highest quality and frequency! What to learn more about that? Get your hands on this book by Dr. David Stewart, The Chemistry of Essential Oils. It goes into great detail about the chemistry off essential oils. Simply fascinating!! Don’t buy the lie that all oils are the same. They simply are not! I have not used or purchased OTC’s in over a year now nor am I on any prescribed meds at the age of 47. Coincidence? I think not. The oils AND life style changes work!!!

Hey everyone. Today I’m going to tell you how to make this liquid handsoap. It’s so easy! In fact, I have no reason to claim as to why I put it off for this long. “Why, Wendy, why?” I ask myself that often.
Any way… I’m sure glad I saved these foaming soap dispensers! You can buy them online on Amazon or visit your local Bath and Beyond store… or you can save them or ask your friends or family to save them for you. If you do that, be sure to show them how simple it is to make their own… lol… then maybe they will do the same and stop using the BAD-FOR-YOU chemical-filled soap from the store!
This recipe is real simple. You probably won’t need to write it down.
2 Tablespoons of liquid Castile Soap (You can use Dr. Bronner’s. I found this brand on Amazon; great reviews and it was a little cheaper.)
8 to 10 drops of whatever Essential Oil that floats your boat! (I only use Young Living, and today I’m using Thieves! Great germ killer!)
Top with water! This dispenser is 8 oz.
Now shake & use! That’s it!! Nice foamy soap that smells great!! I told you this would be simple! … and a great savings too! I’m all being frugal, except for when it comes to a few things… and that would be food, drink, personal care products, health products, and my ESSENTIAL OILS!
Other essential oils I might use in the future when I refill my soap dispensers would be Rosemary, Orange, Lemon, Purification, or Lavender. I think Thieves with Orange, Rosemary with Orange or Lemon would be great combos, or Lavender and Lemon too! Looking forward to trying these combos next time!
